kale and sausage pasta

august3_kalepasta01Rachel got a bunch of kale at a farmer’s market (she’s obviously working hard at work) a few weeks ago, and promptly sent me several emails with various recipes she wanted to try. We settled for kale chips at the time because it was the easiest thing to make, and we were HUNGRY. It’s hard to describe what kale tastes like – it’s really a delicate flavor that really comes out when the leaves are crispy like our chips. I loved kale so much that when we stopped by Shaw’s last week, I picked up a big (organic) bunch for $1.20 – that’s what I call a delicious deal!
